Psychologists in Ontario usually hold doctoral-level training in mental health, behavior, and evidence-based treatment. They typically complete about 7 years of graduate-level training, along with at least 1 year of full-time supervised practice. This extensive training allows them to provide specialized therapy, conduct assessments, and perform the controlled act of diagnosis. You don’t need a complex condition or a formal diagnosis to benefit from seeing a psychologist- they support a wide range of concerns, from everyday stress to major life transitions, bringing added depth of training and clinical experience.
Yes! I am currently accepting new clients for both standard psychological assessment and treatment as well as services through the WSIB Community Mental Health Program. In most cases, I am able to begin working with new clients within 1–3 weeks, depending on availability.
If you are seeking services through WSIB, please include in the contact form whether you have received pre-approval and your claim number (if available).
We are typically able to book new clients in for their first session within 1-3 weeks.
Please note, sessions are currently only offered virtually.
Yes! We offer direct billing through TELUS eHealth and Sun Life. Please note that eligibility for direct billing of psychological services depends on your specific insurance plan. If your plan does not allow direct billing, you will be responsible for payment following your session, regardless of benefit coverage.
Prior to your first appointment, you will be asked to place a credit card on file. This card will be used to process any portion of the session fee not covered by insurance. If you choose to use direct billing, you will also be asked to enter your insurance details or upload a photo of your insurance card. Participation in direct billing is completely optional.
TELUS eHealth supports direct billing with many major insurance providers, including Manulife, Canada Life, Green Shield Canada, Desjardins, ClaimSecure, GroupHEALTH, Blue Cross, Equitable Life, and iA Financial Group, among others.
If you have a WSIB claim in Ontario, you may be eligible for psychological assessment or treatment through the WSIB Community Mental Health Program.
